Maria, remember each year Michele would always get our birthdays mixed up? Well, she did it again. She said she didn't want to break the tradition. It's pretty funny that she would call you on September 7th and call me on October 6th. She's such a Dufus!!! Funny memory...

I remember my sisters wedding a couple years ago. My mom was getting all "pissy" joking around, because she couldn't wear just her jeans to her wedding, she had to wear a dress. My mom was not much of a dress kind of person, even on most special occasions she just wore jeans and a nice shirt, she had a gorgeous yellow dress with straps that went over the shoulders, with her cowboy boots. So she was at least a bit happy that she didn't have to wear dress shoes, she hated those lol. She was always the strongest person I ever knew. I miss her terribly.

A memory I have of my mother is that no matter what ever happened, no matter how hard her life became, she always stuck it out. She never stopped fighting, not even at the very end. She always called herself a "pansy" and was afraid that she was weak...she was the strongest person I have ever met. I still wake up in the middle of the night thinking she is going to call me needing something...I have missed her so much, I will always love her and miss her.

I remember Fourth of July a few years ago when all the Rhodes came to California to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Mom & Dad...you all stayed long enough for the fireworks and it was a great time...Remember Robert jumping over the sparks...I thought he would catch his butt on fire!! We missed you and were thinking of you, Maria, last night. Victoria and I wish you a Happy 4th of July! I love you and miss you!
